Commergenix 4.0 Connects B2B Commerce from First Quote to the Plant Floor

New quoting, order, production and product content modules join more than two dozen new system integrations in the largest Commergenix release to date.

Waukesha, WI, November 4, 2026 - Layer One Media, Inc. today announced Commergenix 4.0, a major release that extends the platform well beyond the commerce back office. Commergenix now follows the work from a customer's first request for a quote through the order, the production floor and the product content that sells it next time.

For B2B manufacturers and distributors, that work usually lives in disconnected systems. Quotes sit in email, schedules in spreadsheets and product data in several places at once. Commergenix 3.0 gave teams real-time visibility into their commerce operations. Version 4.0 helps them act on what they see, in one platform connected to the systems they already run.

What's new in Commergenix 4.0

From quote to order

Quote IQ turns online forms into structured requests for quote, with AI that extracts requirements from what customers write, an RFQ inbox for sales, and routing notifications. OrderFlow carries accepted quotes into ERP sales orders, with business rules that administrators can edit and a shared conversation and files on every order.

On the plant floor

Four new modules connect commerce to production. Production Scheduler plans work and predicts completion dates. Production Execution gives each machine a terminal for lot scans and flags mismatches as they happen. Material Center tracks material and its genealogy, while Movement & Picking directs scan-verified moves across the plant.

Better product data, with less manual work

Product Sources gathers specifications from manufacturer websites and PDF documents, then queues suggested values for human review. Product Commander adds enrichment feeds, a per-product audit trail and a list of problem products that need attention. Data Auditor checks catalog quality, and PIM Integration keeps product data flowing from PIM to storefront.

Product content that creates itself

CableViz Studio and Product Image Forge generate photorealistic 3D images and cross-sections of wire and cable from its specification, with no photo shoot. AI reads the specification, and each image is built from the cable's actual construction. Datasheet Studio then composes finished datasheets from a product's design and PIM fields, and links them to Quote IQ.

Insight across the business

Channel IQ brings website and ecommerce analytics into one dashboard, with saved and scheduled explorations and plain-language AI questions. Service Monitor watches uptime, background job heartbeats and expiring HTTPS certificates. Price Director now adds live metals pricing to its commodity-driven pricing, and a new Data Fabric shares operational data across modules.

Connected to the systems you already run

Commergenix 4.0 now includes more than two dozen integrations, managed per customer from a single admin screen:

A generic REST connector reaches almost any other API, with support for many authentication types.

A stronger, simpler platform

Commergenix 4.0 runs on Microsoft .NET 10, a long-term support release that Microsoft supports until November 2028. The newest security and platform updates are built in, with no action needed from customers.

The platform also looks and works as one product. A unified design now spans every module, and the menu groups modules into families with pinned pages and instant page search. A new Admin Overview shows each customer's administrators what needs attention first.

Availability

Commergenix 4.0 is available immediately for existing customers. New modules can be enabled for each customer as needed. To learn more or arrange a demonstration, contact Layer One Media.
