Illustrative engagement concept; scope is agreed with your team.
The problem

When everything matters, progress becomes difficult to defend.

Initiatives accumulate while teams disagree about priorities, ownership, or the intended outcome. Coaching creates space to examine those choices, test assumptions, and prepare leaders to move work forward across functions.

This may be your starting point if…

  • Roadmaps change without a consistent decision process.
  • Departments agree on goals but disagree on who decides.
  • Business cases describe technology more clearly than business value.
What's included

What we work toward together

Scope is agreed around your priorities, systems, and team. The engagement can include:

A working definition of the operating model and the capabilities it requires.

Practical governance, ownership, and prioritization tools.

A sequenced roadmap and business-case narrative developed through applied work.

A leadership communication plan and a cadence for reviewing decisions.

How it works

How the engagement works

Layer One combines manufacturing and distribution experience with assessments, advisory services, engineering, training, and ongoing improvement. We build on existing systems and proven capabilities, including Commergenix where it fits the work. Your team helps shape the approach and owns the decisions that affect the business.

  1. 1

    Choose the decisions

Agree the leader’s goals, current responsibilities, and real situations to work through.

  2. 2

    Apply the frameworks

Use guided sessions and between-session work to develop and test decisions.

  3. 3

    Put the thinking to work

Review stakeholder feedback and prepare the next execution cycle.

FAQ

Questions before you begin

Is this a generic leadership course?

The engagement centers on your actual operating decisions and work products. The sequence follows your goals and current context.

How is this different from workshops?

Coaching supports an individual or small leadership group across successive decisions. Workshops align a broader group around a defined topic.

How do we agree the scope and commitment?

We begin with a conversation about the problem, the people involved, and the information available. We then agree deliverables, responsibilities, timing, and commercial terms. The work can be scoped independently or within an ongoing Layer One partnership.
