Twin Disc helps buyers find the right product.
Now help them act on it.

Greg, Megan, and David,

Our team took a look at twindisc.com and, from the outside alone, we noticed an opportunity. The site is impressive and visually gripping. It does a strong job helping users find and evaluate products, but the path from product interest to a clear buying or quote next step appears cumbersome and difficult. A couple examples of that are shared below.

Two Observations

 ?? Twin Disc 1

Clarify the path from product discovery to purchasability

Twin Disc gives users many ways to browse to desired product and receive detailed product information, but the path from “this is the right product” to “I want to buy it” (or I have questions) is not obvious or fluid. Product details appear in-line with other products and technical tabs, but the next action is not clearly apparent or tied to the specific product the user is evaluating. Layer One can help turn product interest into a cleaner, more structured quote or sales handoff. Layer One can help turn product discovery into an intent-aware sales path, connecting product context, buyer behavior, and channel-routing logic so qualified interest reaches the right team with less friction and more usable information.

Reduce drop-off in the dealer handoff

The dealer locator lives at the bottom of the page and is often disconnected from the product in view. While it helps users find sales and service locations by region and category, it does not clearly confirm whether a location supports the product a user was just viewing. The path then ends at a salesperson's email or external dealer website, placing unnecessary and drop-off-inducing effort on the user to restart the conversation. Layer One can help connect product context to channel routing so buyers reach the right next step with less uncertainty.

Smooth like butter

Just like butter is one of the most versatile and important ingredients, carrying flavor, creating texture, and bringing everything together, Layer One improves nearly every part of your digital commerce stack. We help the pieces work better together, smoothing friction across product data, search, integrations, user experience, and channel performance. The result is a stronger foundation, a smoother operation, and better outcomes across the whole experience.

"Butter is perhaps the most important ingredient in the kitchen."

The suggestions above come from what we could see as an outside visitor. But in our experience, much of our value in turning B2B platforms into working systems lives beneath the surface, in product data, integrations, internal workflows, and strategic decisions that customers never see directly.

Sometimes our team of domain expert consultants and developers solve those issues through bespoke work. Other times we bring accelerators that can be customized. Here are two I thought might be interesting for Twin Disc.

Accelerators for Twin Disc

Unstructured quote requests create ambiguity that slows response and limits scale.

Guided Quoting Tools

Image

Most quoting processes break down before they even start. Buyers submit unstructured requests, sales teams are left to interpret them, and cycles are lost to clarification and rework. The Guided Quoting Tools accelerator replaces that ambiguity with a structured, step-by-step experience aligned to how products are actually specified. By capturing clean, usable inputs upfront, it improves quote quality, reduces back and forth, and allows your team to respond faster and more consistently at scale.

  • Faster quote turnaround
  • Higher quality inbound requests
  • Reduced back and forth between sales and buyers
  • Improved scalability of the quoting process

Inaccurate and inconsistent product listings erode trust and cut into sales.

Distributor Ranker

Distributor Ranker shows you exactly how your products appear across distributor sites and marketplaces, highlighting gaps in accuracy, completeness, and visibility. It gives your team the insights needed to improve channel performance, strengthen representation, and ensure buyers see the right information every time.

  • Evaluates product listings across channels
  • Flags gaps in accuracy and completeness
  • Surfaces visibility issues affecting conversions
  • Provides clear, actionable insights
  • Ensures consistent product representation everywhere
More

The ideas on this page are only a starting point. Most of our strongest client relationships began with their curiosity about if we could solve one issue. Then once a conversation was started and they recognized our breath of experience and understanding of their digital commerce stack, it quickly went other directions and those ended up being the first things we solved.

So we would like to offer you a complimentary 45-minute working session to get a feel of what working with us is like. We can share ideas on creating a clearer path from product interest to quote, connecting product context to the right dealer or sales handoff, and reducing the extra effort currently pushed back onto the buyer. Or guidance on anything else you're currently tackling (or avoiding). No prep needed, if you don't believe us, you've got nothing to lose (we promise not to hound you after the call)!

Just shoot me an email with a few times that work for you!

Thanks much, Adrian
