Senior UX/IA Designer
Layer One Media is looking for a Senior UX/IA Designer in our Chicago office.
This person will work with the team to scope and estimate projects, drive cross-team collaboration, gather and document requirements to create best in class experiences for our clients.
We are looking for a thought leader who designs with, and implements best practices for web-based information architecture, tool/app/UI interactions and content delivery.
This person will be an effective evangelist for UX and user-centered design. An expert communicator through presentation, sketching and whiteboarding who can understand and interpret technical, business and user requirements in detail.
The Senior UX/IA Designer will be an expert in applying IA/UX on a wide variety of projects; from marketing sites to mobile apps and enterprise systems.

5+ years in a lead IA/UX role in an Internet/web environment
Experience with wireframing and other design tools
Strong presentation and leadership skills
Ability to demonstrate (with samples) deep experience in the following:
- Wireframing and UX design
- Writing User Stories and Use Cases
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation
- Ability to create complex Site Maps showing structural and content interaction
