Talent Director / Community Liaison

Build, lead, and manage a team that conducts national recruiting efforts, with a strategy that focuses on attracting talent of all levels, in many different disciplines.  Be an integral part of establishing the Layer One Media brand through recruiting and community networking efforts.  Our ideal candidate will display of level of “grit” in seeing problems through to completion.  We are an organization that values honesty, openness, intelligence, integrity and team collaboration.  Our candidates should also hold true to these values.  Cultural fit is more important to us than having all the necessary skills.  Skills can be taught, values can’t.  This role will:

  • Establish and oversee a talent recruiting and acquisition process that will fill our resourcing needs
  • Management of employee HR functions, employee benefit enrollment initiatives, completion of all required paperwork and processes
  • Implement and evolve our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Manage relocation efforts if required
  • Work with other leaders to implement and refine our employee onboarding process
  • Help coordinate employee training and learning opportunities
  • Works with department leads to set resource qualifications and requirements
  • Work with our local and national market to represent the Layer One Media brand as a recruiting leader

You've Got:

  • 2 or more years recruitment/HR experience
  • Experience with technology and marketing recruiting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of general human resource topics (recruiting, application process, interviewing, hiring) required
  • Knowledge of specialized human resource topics (benefits, turnover analysis, job skills analysis, staff development)
  • Understanding of recruiting KPIs (time to hire, time to fill, etc)
  • Good decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal communication, negotiation and personal selling skills required
  • Interest in being an integral part of the software developer community
  • Basic understanding of event planning and execution
