When Cousins Subs, a Milwaukee-based, nationwide restaurant franchise, began the process of refreshing their brand, Layer One was tasked with the job of updating their online presence to match their familiar but newly rejuvenated brand identity.

The new website successfully targets two key audiences: diners and potential franchisees. Clear, highly navigable architecture quickly guides each group to the information their looking for, including a store locator, a CMS-controlled menu and an informative franchising section with strong calls to action. Other assets include eye-catching Flash on the homepage to call out special offers and promotions, as well as features to highlight their social media savvy, such as a Twitter feed and links to their YouTube, Flickr and Facebook pages.

Now the only thing fresher than Cousins Subs flavorful sandwiches is their new website, layered with robust technology and intuitive architecture, and topped with a sleek design. And a dash of oregano. Better brand. Better website.

Education Website Design for Wisconsin University

Concordia University of Wisconsin Website Redesign

Client:
Concordia University of Wisconsin
Industry:
Education
Year:
2009
Scope:
Strategy, Design, Usability
Website:
www.cuw.edu

Concordia had substantially evolved their university over the years, but their website was firmly stuck several years in the past. When looking for an agency, CUW wanted to be more than simply on par with their peers, they wanted to set themselves apart. Have we mentioned that's our favorite thing to do?

For the university as a whole, we designed a showcase for their strong academic programs, athletic programs, the warm faith-based culture and people and the variety of choices in campus community life. We ensured each audience had a clear path throughout their journey, and sustained their engagement with a stronger brand experience that was relevant to them.

Concordia had an internal technology group they wanted to leverage for the development of the site, so once the website design was complete and unanimously approved by Concordia, we provided knowledge transfer and technology support to hand-off to their team.
